Thixostar is an amphiphilic water-soluble polyurethane with hydrophilic PEG (polyethylene glycol) as its main ingredient, to which hydrophobic comb diols have been added.

It can be used as an aggregate thickening agent to impart thixotropic properties.

It is expected to be used as a ceramic binder or dispersant.
